The Chamber of Deputies will decide on Thursday whether to repeal Milei's economic decree

milei.news

The Paraguayan newspaper ABC reported that this Thursday, the Argentine House of Representatives will consider rejecting Decree 70/2023, the sweeping deregulation measure that Milei issued at the start of his term. The Senate had already rejected it months ago, but for it to be repealed, the Chamber of Deputies must also vote against it.

According to a consulting firm report cited by the newspaper, if the repeal is confirmed, deregulation measures in three specific sectors would be nullified: lease agreements, private health insurance services, and export and import operations. The firm noted that, until Congress establishes new rules, businesses and families would face uncertainty about which regulations to follow, which could delay decisions and lead to an increase in legal disputes.
