Milei Joins Vox's Pre-Campaign with a Trip to Madrid
The online news outlet elDiario.es reported that Milei plans to arrive in Madrid on October 19 to participate in an economics forum and a breakfast event hosted by Fórum Europa and presented by Daniel Lacalle. Also on the agenda are a meeting with Madrid’s president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and another with Vox leader Santiago Abascal.
The report notes that Milei has visited Spain on other occasions since taking office and that on none of those visits did he meet with the Spanish government or the monarchy. Furthermore, it places this visit within the context of international support for Vox, just a few days after French politician Jordan Bardella visited Madrid to support Abascal during the pre-campaign.
