The Argentine government confirmed Milei's visit to Madrid on Tuesday, the 20th

The Argentine government confirmed that Javier Milei will be in Madrid on Tuesday, the 20th, and will return to Buenos Aires on the evening of Wednesday, the 21st, according to ABC. Presidential spokesperson Adrián Ravier said he will accompany the president and that the itinerary will be announced once it is finalized.

This will be the president’s latest stop in Spain: since taking office in late 2023, he has already visited the country six times. During those trips, he met with Vox leader Santiago Abascal and Madrid regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso, but never with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. The relationship with Sánchez remains strained by Milei’s insults, which sparked a diplomatic incident in 2024. The trip was announced shortly after Sánchez called for general elections.
