Milei will travel to Washington to attend a gala with Eduardo Bolsonaro

Javier Milei will travel to Washington next week to attend a private Hispanic Heritage Month gala as a guest of honor, alongside Eduardo Bolsonaro, the son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, according to Argentine media reports cited by The Rio Times. The event, organized by the financial platform Latino Wall Street, will take place on October 14, just eleven days before the runoff election in Brazil between Flávio Bolsonaro and Lula da Silva.

It will be Milei’s twentieth trip to the United States since taking office, and comes weeks after his participation in the UN General Assembly. The guest list, according to the report, includes mainly figures close to the Republican Party. Eduardo Bolsonaro, who has lived in the United States since 2025, was convicted in June by the Brazilian Supreme Court of coercion related to his lobbying efforts with the Trump administration, and lost his legislative seat due to absenteeism. The media outlet noted that a group photo in Washington could be interpreted in Brasília as a new gesture of support from Milei for Flávio Bolsonaro’s candidacy.
