Milei will meet with Ayuso and Abascal in Madrid before the Spanish elections

The Argentine president will arrive in Spain on October 19, marking his seventh visit to the country. As confirmed by the Spanish government to elDiario.es, the itinerary has not yet been finalized and includes a meeting with Madrid’s Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who serves as president of the Community of Madrid, and another with Vox leader Santiago Abascal. The itinerary combines support for opposition leaders with business meetings and economic presentations. No official meetings with Pedro Sánchez or the king are scheduled.

The trip comes after Flávio Bolsonaro won the first round of the presidential election in Brazil, a result that Milei celebrated on social media with a list of candidates he had endorsed. His foreign minister, Pablo Quirno, claimed that within ten months, all seven candidates supported by the president had won their elections. Miguel Ponce, a foreign trade specialist, questioned that narrative and cited the case of Orbán in Hungary. Before arriving in Spain, the president will stop in Washington.
