The Argentine president arrived in the U.S. capital on Wednesday for a 36-hour visit aimed at investors and like-minded leaders, according to The Rio Times. On the first day, he held meetings with Andy Kleinman, a technology investor, and Harold Hamm, an American oil executive. Hamm’s company, Continental Resources, agreed in August to acquire half of Phoenix Global Resources, which operates in Vaca Muerta.

On Thursday, Milei is scheduled to speak at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and receive an award related to free enterprise, with opening remarks by Energy Secretary Chris Wright. He will also attend a gala alongside Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, while the official agenda does not include any bilateral meetings with Donald Trump.
