milei.news

A massive march for public education in Buenos Aires ended amid tear gas and riots. The Paraguayan newspaper ABC reported that the demonstration called for increased funding for universities and higher salaries for teachers and workers, in opposition to the Milei administration’s budget cuts. Unions, social organizations, environmentalists, and families also participated.

The newspaper reported that the clash began when about eight hooded individuals damaged street furniture and threw objects at the fence surrounding Congress. The police responded with tear gas that affected peaceful protesters. A C5N cameraman was struck in the face, and a female protester was hit in the head by a tear gas canister.
