Milei is traveling to Spain to meet with Ayuso and give academic lectures

Argentine President Javier Milei began a trip to Spain on Monday, where he will meet with the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and participate in academic activities and events organized by the Disenso Foundation, according to the Paraguayan newspaper ABC.

The two-day agenda includes a presentation at the New Economy Forum and a lecture at Rey Juan Carlos University as part of a master’s program in Austrian economics. No meetings are scheduled with the Spanish government or with President Pedro Sánchez, a pattern that has held true during the six visits Milei has made to that country since December 2023. The visit is taking place in the midst of the election campaign, and, according to the media outlet, he is expected to endorse right-wing leaders such as Ayuso and possibly Santiago Abascal of Vox.
